Technical Drawings

I've never done any sort of technical drawing/drafting before and I know that in the near future I'm going to need to know how it's done.  I typically work best from example: so here goes...

You drafted this, or this is what you will be reproducing?

Oh no, I wish. This is from Tom Davies, an eyeglass designer. I'm in the process of learning how to draft things like this and hopefully in the future will be making awesome like this happen...way in the future.

Are you taking a class? I haven't drafted anything in a long time, but I really love doing it (both by hand and in the computer).

Oh no. I'd like to take a CAD class over the summer but right now I'm stuck in an Ethics In America class. I'm just trying to teach myself this mess by way of YouTube...and I'm just using Google Sketchup. All the fancy stuff will have to wait till the summer. What have you been working on lately? The design business is still well, I hope?

Doing well. Just landed a new job after doing our freelance thing for the past few years. Moving to Cambrige next week.

Oh nice!! Whenever I hear Cambridge I always think of the CarTalk guys. How are you and your lady doing? Have any kids? Haha, sorry, I just had to ask...the ovaries are starting to kick into high gear.

We'll be down the street from Havard Square in Cambridge (our fair city). Chelsea's doing well..she's excited to have good public transit and not having to drive everywhere. No babies, just cats. We're kind of like empty nesters already. What's your boy think of the biological clock? You've got time, you're only 28 (hopefully that's a good guess)?

Oh wow! How did you guys snag that location? Good luck with the move-I hope it goes smoothly. Ah cool, no kids on either front. My man has absolutely no desire for kids-I go back and forth about the whole thing. Close enough-I'm 29 now. Dude, which is so almost 30! But I feel good about all of that...life is less hectic these days in a good way.

An apartment broker snagged us our primo address...well, I say it's down the street from Harvard Square...it's actually more like 5 or 6 blocks away. DOWN the street.

Maybe you just have to ease him (and yourself) into it. Buy a house. Have him fix it up. Get him a baseball glove for xmas (awww, no one to play catch with...). Get married. Stop taking the pill. BAM! Preggers.

Haha, oh no! I sooo can't see me being a mom right now. I'd rather visit Mumbai.

Sounds like you found the best apartment finder ever! Take pictures! Kick ass in Boston!
